Position Summary
As a Senior Modern Work Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Corporate IT Team, focusing on Microsoft's Modern Work solutions and similar platforms. Your role will involve implementing, configuring, and supporting various Microsoft 365 applications and Azure services to enhance digital collaboration, communication, and productivity across our organization. You will work on creating seamless digital experiences that empower our employees to work efficiently from anywhere.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Modern Work Engineer Associate you will:

Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online to facilitate efficient digital workflows and collaboration. 

Help drive innovation in key areas and assist in the implementation of new features and updates across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including adoption of Copilot AI.

Help manage and maintain Azure resources related to Modern Work solutions, including Azure Active Directory and Azure Information Protection. 
Assist in the deployment and configuration of cloud-based services and applications. 

Contribute to the monitoring and optimization of Azure resources to ensure performance and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft 365 tools and Azure services with other relevant applications to create a cohesive digital workplace environment. 

Contribute to the development of automated processes and workflows using tools like Power Automate to improve productivity. 

Create user guides and conduct training sessions to promote the adoption of Modern Work tools and Azure services. 

Provide first-level support for Microsoft 365 and Azure-related issues and escalate complex problems when necessary. 

Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures within the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to protect organizational data. 

Help ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in the use of digital collaboration tools.

Stay updated on the latest trends and features in Modern Work solutions and Azure services, suggesting improvements to our digital workplace strategy. 

Participate in projects aimed at enhancing the employee digital experience and workplace flexibility.

Assist in gathering and analyzing usage data from Microsoft 365 applications and Azure services to identify trends and areas for improvement. 

Contribute to the creation of reports on the adoption and effectiveness of Modern Work solutions.

Qualifications

Required: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 

•    3-4+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online. 

•    Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and Microsoft Azure administration. 

•    Familiarity with modern workplace technologies and their applications in business settings. 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly. 

•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. 

•    Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus

Preferred:
•    Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). 
•    Basic knowledge of Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure Information Protection, and Azure Cognitive Services. 
•    Interest in or familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools, especially in the Microsoft ecosystem and familiarity with PowerBI or other usage analytics systems and visualization processes. 
•    Basic knowledge of information security principles and practices in cloud environments. 
•    Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, SAFe). 
•    Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles in the context of digital workplaces. 

The estimated base salary for this job is $75,000 - $95,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $86,250 - $109,250. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
