As our Coding Auditor & Educator, you will help ensure accurate medical coding and billing for our clients to optimize revenue cycle management. Every day you will access and audit accounts using coding software to ensure accurate diagnostic and procedure codes were applied with a focus on productivity and quality and prepare and provide ongoing training for coders and physicians. To thrive in this role, you must have experience accessing records and navigating multiple EHR, multi-specialty coding experience, audit experience, and carry an AHIMA or AAPC coding certificate: CPC or CSS.   

Here’s what you will experience working as a Coding Auditor & Educator:

  • Conduct audits of medical records to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices according to current coding guidelines, regulations, and best practices

  • Identify coding discrepancies (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers) and provide feedback to coding staff to improve accuracy

  • Develop and deliver coding training programs and provide ongoing guidance to physicians, clinical staff, coding teams, and internal departments

  • Assist in developing and implementing coding policies and procedures in collaboration with clinical and coding

Required Skills:

  • AAPC or AHIMA Certified coding professional: CPC, CCS

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare documentation and

  • In depth knowledge of coding guidelines including ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT and E/M coding as demonstrated through work experience as a medical coder in multiple specialties, adapting to coding changes, and work experience as a medical coding auditor

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $26.26 - $38.50 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
