Job Purpose:
Position has an aptitude for learning new technologies and applying them to improve processes. Provides business support around the analysis, design, implementation, and use of various financial systems, tools and processes. Participates in the entire lifecycle of financial systems and processes analysis ranging from the identification of business requirements to final implementations. Participates in the identification of process improvements and providing consultation to finance customers on business recovery efforts including root cause analysis and proposed long- and short-term solutions.
This position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting past and future business performance. Provide financial analysis and insight as relates to assigned customers’ business operations. Develop forecasts and financial plans for assigned customers. Communicate findings and impacts effectively to customers and management. Responsible for working with and influencing up to and including VP level customers.
Analyst:
Helps implement solutions by reviewing data, determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. They assist with the business case, organizing requirements, translating and simplifying requirements, and requirements analysis. Analysts may also use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with assigned clients and provide requested support.
- Ensure understanding of the systems/processes for the business areas supported.
- Research new tools and existing tools’ new functionality and evaluate opportunities to apply these capabilities to improve current business processes.
- Participate in the selection of tools that are appropriate for the business area supported (ie. Accounting, Actuarial, Treasury, Forecasting & Planning)
- Evaluate and resolve issues and errors found within our tools, maintaining the credibility and integrity of the data; monitor and troubleshoot integrations
- Design and maintain payment job schedule around bank schedule, holiday schedule and determine impacts to customers
- Design and maintain critical reports that facilitate planning and forecasting as well as ongoing financial analysis around unit performance
- Participate in projects providing analysis, requirements, design, testing and implementation.
- Define detailed business process improvements and capture how the current state business design will need to be transformed into a future state workflow to achieve the required business results
- Utilize various tools, including automation tools, to configure and develop the future state process
- Collaborate with others in a team setting, either directly or indirectly
- Work across all finance enterprise systems / processes maintaining company confidential information standards
- Provide financial analysis and explain results to clients (monthly, quarterly and annually). This includes both business and Finance leaders.
- Provide effective financial support for client’s identified business strategy.
- Accurately develop, maintain, analyze and discuss various financial reports with clients (monthly, quarterly and annually).
- Lead client in forecasting financial and/or operational results to be used in planning, budgeting and decision making.
- Ensure appropriate allocations/accounting for resources (maintain appropriate allocation definitions and accounting).
- Develop and interpret complex modeling, with an understanding of core finance concepts such as NPV, IRR, DCF, etc.
- Build relationships with assigned clients and provide requested financial support.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the financial systems/processes for the business areas supported.
- Improve processes related to achieving the above responsibilities.
- Provide guidance to analysts and project teams and work collaboratively.
- Collaborate with the Finance organization to provide Accounting and Finance guidance to customers.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting related position.
- Proficient with Microsoft products, such as Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with customers of varying backgrounds and business acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills; ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent ability to self-prioritize workload, as well as manage and communicate resource conflicts.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data or processes and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the financial services industry and product lines.
- General knowledge of finance/accounting principles.
- Proven ability to work in a team setting, directly and indirectly.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
$78,400.00 - $117,600.00
