Job description

About the Role

We're seeking a Product Designer to craft beautiful, intuitive, and interactive technology solutions for our customers. As a collaborative team member, you’ll work closely with product managers, developers, and fellow designers across multiple products. This role offers you the autonomy to explore, define, and address customer pain points.

If you're passionate about human-centered design, interaction and visual design, and you combine pixel-perfect attention to detail with a scrappy, agile approach, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

People who thrive in this role will tend to:

Enjoy Collaborative Problem-Solving
Successful candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with product teams to solve complex problems. They approach challenges with curiosity and find joy in partnering directly with other team members to shape impactful solutions.

Be Self-Starters and Effective Communicators
This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work well with both internal and external customers, as well as key product stakeholders. People who thrive here bring a self-starter mindset and enjoy taking initiative to drive design decisions forward.

Have a Passion for User Research and Usability
A strong interest in user research and usability testing is essential. Designers in this role understand that user insights are key to creating impactful designs and are committed to exploring and responding to user needs through research.

Embrace Ambiguity and Continuous Learning
Our design work spans many areas, and projects are constantly evolving. Designers who thrive in this environment are inquisitive, open-minded, and willing to adapt. They see ambiguity as an opportunity for growth and are always ready to learn something new.

Think Beyond the User Interface
While much of the work focuses on crafting intuitive user interfaces, designers in this role are also comfortable designing with the entire technology stack in mind. A willingness to consider backend constraints to inform design decisions.

Have Proven Experience in B2B Product Design
We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in B2B software product design. The ideal designer has a track record of taking designs from concept to production and can collaborate effectively across teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered designs.

Things you’ll own:
  • Creating new design concepts and user flows for our products, including early-stage applications.
  • Enhancing the design and flows of existing products.
  • Conducting user research and interviews to uncover insights and patterns that inform and shape our products.
Things you’ll help with:
  • Ensuring our products are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide a seamless experience.
  • Collaborating with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and translate smoothly to production.
  • Improving the accessibility, scalability, and reliability of our overall design.
  • Contributing to the development of our upcoming design system.
Things you’ll teach the team:
  • Help others on the team get acquainted with UX research techniques and design principles.
  • Guide others in balancing user-centered design practices with the technical needs of the platform.
Things you’ll learn:
  • Gain familiarity with our users' workflows and the tools they use, including data visualization and analysis tools.
  • The broader product ecosystem and how different product areas interact with each other to deliver a cohesive experience.
Timeline – What to Expect
Within 1 month, you will…
  • Pair with a designer and/or product manager on the team to design and deliver a small feature or user interface enhancement.
  • Deploy a change to production that directly impacts user experience.
  • Meet the team(s) to begin building trust and rapport.
Within 3 months, you will…
  • Take ownership of a smaller new feature, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, then design and implement the solution.
  • Propose and champion design improvements to make our product more user-friendly and accessible.
  • Track down and resolve a usability issue, working with the engineering team to deploy the fix.
  • Participate in user research and testing sessions to gather insights and inform design work.
