We are looking for a highly-motivated Senior Software Engineer to build APIs, SDKs, Libraries, and Frameworks for the next generation Identity platform. These products are to be used by the development team of our customers to build user-facing software. This role requires a developer that can take ideas from concept to reality and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and data scientists in an internationally focused organization.

The ideal applicant will have broad development experience with APIs and frameworks; solid analytical and creative problem-solving skills; be passionate about research, innovation and experimentation for delivering the best possible developer and user experience within an inclusive and respectful environment. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop IAM (Identity & Access Management) related Web SDKs, libraries and frameworks
  • Discussing the security and privacy considerations of product designs, prototypes and concepts
  • Building full-stack example applications using our libraries and tooling for educating developers on best practices implemented within modern frameworks and libraries (React, Vue, Angular, TypeScript, …)
  • Work alongside our customers and partners, helping define the functional specifications for how the our SDK will integrate with their applications based on product requirements

  • Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing and production release of the Ping SDK for JavaScript
  • Implement, document and evangelize best practices and industry standards for both internal and external developers
  • Debug production issues across services and levels of the PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC) integration with the Ping JavaScript SDK

  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment, continuously working to adapt to ever-evolving customer needs

  • Cross-functional and cross-platform collaboration to deliver world-class solutions

  • HTML and CSS as well as a deep understanding of JavaScript and the DOM
  • Web-application development experience
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Production experience (primary) with one of the following: React.js, Angular, Vue.js or Svelte.js
  • Experience building/maintaining an API-centric product, framework or library
  • Secondary JS framework or library
  • Experience Node.js (server-side JavaScript)
  • Experience with authentication, authorization and identity management
  • Experience with web accessibility
  • Experience with CORS, SSL/TLS and other security communication protocols
  • Experience with RESTful services
  • Solid understanding of debugging familiar and unfamiliar code
  • Proficient in reviewing another’s Pull Request, providing critical, constructive feedback
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Good time management skills

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with multiple application architectures (SPA, Flux, SSR, universal/isomorphic), 
  • Experience working within a distributed team
  • Proficient knowledge of Git and Git tooling
  • Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Experience with application security practices (OWASP Top 10)
  • Experience with systems at large scale
  • Docker, Kubernetes and VM experience

Base Hiring Range: $135,000 - $153,000

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
