Role Overview:

As the SEO Manager at Rehab Media, you will play a pivotal role in leading our SEO strategy and content initiatives, focusing on driving organic traffic, enhancing user engagement, and improving conversions across our suite of websites. Your primary goal is to position our platforms as the go-to sources within the addiction and rehabilitation industry.

You will collaborate closely with data analysts, content creators, and other cross-functional teams to implement a robust, data-driven SEO strategy aligned with Rehab Media's broader company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SEO Strategy Development & Execution: Design and execute a comprehensive SEO and content strategy that boosts organic performance, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision of becoming an industry leader in addiction and rehab content.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the SEO team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high-performance. Provide guidance and support to junior SEO specialists, helping them grow professionally.
  • SEO Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Regularly analyze SEO performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, addressing traffic declines, and capitalizing on growth areas. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve overall website performance.
  • Content Strategy & Execution: Oversee content ideation and execution, ensuring topics and strategies align with SEO best practices while remaining highly relevant to the addiction and rehabilitation industry. Collaborate with content teams to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized articles and resources.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve SEO processes, workflows, and strategies to optimize efficiency, scalability, and overall results.
  • Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and changes within the addiction and rehab industry. Ensure that strategies are proactive and adaptive to emerging changes in search engine algorithms and audience behavior.
  • Team Development: Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives, ensuring the SEO team has the skills and knowledge necessary to perform at a high level.
  • Technical SEO Leadership: Lead efforts on technical SEO, including on-page, off-page, and technical improvements, to optimize website performance and improve search rankings and visibility.
  • Opportunity Identification & Trend Forecasting: Analyze site data, performance metrics, and audience behavior to identify SEO opportunities and emerging trends that will position Rehab Media ahead of competitors in organic search.
  • Cross-Department Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open, transparent communication with the content, product, and analytics teams. Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation, feedback, and results.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in SEO strategy development and execution, including hands-on experience with technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring SEO teams.
  • Expertise in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, trends, and Google algorithm updates.
  • Experience with content strategy, keyword research, and conversion optimization.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to leverage data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience managing or leading a digital marketing team, with a track record of guiding and mentoring junior SEO specialists to drive high performance. Experience managing multiple sites or digital properties is preferred.
  • SEO Expertise: Minimum of 5 years in SEO roles, with a strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO practices. Hands-on experience optimizing content and improving search rankings.
  • Content & Traffic Growth: Proven ability to drive organic traffic through the creation of optimized, engaging content that aligns with SEO best practices and contributes to business growth.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing SEO workflows and editorial processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid ability to analyze and interpret SEO performance data, providing actionable insights to both executives and team members. Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to track performance and guide strategy.
  • Team Development: Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members, helping them grow professionally within an SEO-focused environment.
  • Content Strategy & Digital Marketing: Strong understanding of user-centered content strategies, ensuring alignment with SEO goals and broader digital marketing principles. Experience working with cross-functional teams (content, product, and analytics) to optimize web content.
  • SEO Mastery: Extensive knowledge of SEO planning, execution, and performance evaluation, including proficiency in keyword research, content optimization, on-page SEO, technical SEO, and off-page SEO strategies.
