Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of US tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Maintain organized digital records of client information and tax documents
  • Conduct research on tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and information
  • Support tax professionals in reviewing documents and preparing client communications
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for tax filings and client deliverables
  • Utilize tax software to input data, analyze information, and generate reports

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a tax assistant or in a similar role within the accounting industry
  • Strong understanding of US tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
