Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a sales specialist – converter market you will primarily, manage sales territory with periodic supervision and assistance. This role requires you to work closely with the end accounts/OEMs in the assigned region along with the converters from conceptualizing stage to delivery stage. Focus more on the upcoming electronics converter in the region and help in growing the business with close engagement.  

Establishment and Achievement of Objectives: Effectively manages assigned territory. Understands sales goals and establishes self-directed sales coverage with manager's assistance. Develops tactics and coordinates efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual objectives. Recommends adjustments and reassessments to business plan and establishes new objectives. Achieves annual sales targets and objectives.

Sales and Marketing: Applies business unit marketing policies, procedures and plans. Utilizes selling process to achieve sales results. Applies understanding of 3M’s brand and innovation story, individual value propositions, and knowledge of applications to maximize revenue for 3M for assigned product portfolios. Demonstrates knowledge and use of social selling tools to create connections with Industry and Customers. Demonstrates and trains internal and external customers on product applications. Operationalizes use of social selling tools to gain credibility with industry and customers. Represents business unit products and services to customers and prospects. Provides appropriate sales support services to customers, with additional support as required from internal resources. Proactively reports all new or unusual pertinent market conditions, competitive activities, and product performance information to supervisor. Interacts with business groups and/or business management to identify target audiences and provide input to a communications plan that delivers the brand promise to target audiences and builds customer loyalty.

Performance Measurement:        

o    Sales to assigned customers (Volumes, Prices, Terms). YoY growth

o    % of New Business/Total Sales

o    NPI sales

o    Degree of customer’s satisfaction

Qualifications

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Any Discipline) Science/Engineering – Preferred 
  • Total Eight (6) years or more experience in sales/business development in relevant field
  • Currently handling electronics customers in the assigned region.
  • Good understanding of the converter market would be an added benefit.
