The International Imprint Sales Assistant is a key member of our Imprint Sales & Marketing team, supporting the Imprint Sales Managers with title management across all Penguin Random House Divisions. This person is responsible for creating sales materials, tracking key title information, and providing general support to our International Sales Department.
Responsibilities:
- Create frontlist and backlist author and brand specific sales materials like sell sheets, order forms, and Edelweiss collections.
- Research and gather competitive edition and translation information for key titles across divisions.
- Prepare sales presentation materials and PowerPoint presentations for seasonal presentation meetings.
- Compile essential sales information for divisional updates for international sales team and regular updates for Publishing.
- Provide general administrative support for Imprint Sales Managers.
- Handle sales requests for review copies, digital PDFs, covers, and spreads.
- Coordinate marketing requests with International Marketing & Publicity team.
- Perform sales and marketplace analysis and manage special projects, as needed.
Requirements:
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively interact with employees across all levels of an organization
- Strong interest in and understanding of international publishing and rights
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
The salary for this position is $48,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subjected to company results.
