Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth, build client relationships, and close new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients in the beauty and cosmetics industry. This individual will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing a pipeline, and working closely with distributors and their teams to achieve sales targets.


Territory: Be comfortable working PST or CST hours

Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 base salary

Bonus Eligibility: Annual bonus eligibility based on sales KPIs on average 20%


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, salons, and stylists.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs through active listening and empathy.
  • Present and promote products/services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on strategy and drive sales initiatives.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and educational classes to represent the brand.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to clients to help them succeed with our products.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce).
  • Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve sales techniques.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitor activity to inform strategies.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B outside sales, preferably in beauty & cosmetics or similar industries such as consumer packaged goods (CPG), pharmaceuticals, hospitality, or technology.
  • Experience working with distributors and managing client relationships.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com) for pipeline and opportunity management.
  • A consultative sales approach, with experience in outside sales, closing deals, and handling high-value accounts.
  • Territory management experience is a plus.
