Job description

Pay $61,000 - $64,000 annually. 

 

Who We Are

Community Health and Behavioral Services (CHBS) is licensed by both the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).  We provide both mental health, substance use disorder, and other needed services in an outpatient treatment setting for children, families, and adults in the community.

 

Our work environment provides the opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced atmosphere. CHBS emphasizes a client-centered and team-based approach to provide wraparound care for individuals and families in need of services in our community. CHBS is continually growing and expanding our team of professionals and we are currently seeking full-time and/or part-time mental health clinicians in our Utica, Rome, and Herkimer locations, with opportunities for clinicians to have hybrid in-office and work from home days.

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Conduct clinical assessments, establish diagnoses, and create treatment recommendations for adults, children, and families.
  • Provide individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention, within scope of education/certification.
  • Ability to monitor caseload by ensuring clients are scheduled/seen and all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
  • Provide linkage, outreach, referral, and case management as clinically indicated.
  • Attend individual and group supervision with clinical supervisor.
  • Maintain licensure requirements, as required by NYS licensing board.
  • Participate in an environment that creates positive communication. 

 

Qualifications

  • Current New York State licensure or limited permit in a mental health field (LCSW-R, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT).
  • MSW, MFT, MHC, Clinical Psychology degree without licensure will be considered.
  • Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Internet Explorer, Google, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Access, Word, Excel, Teams, Zoom). Experience with EMR platforms is a plus.
  • Valid NYS Driver License.
