Job Description:

Working as part of Multiple scrum teams, within the Tucasi group of companies, reporting to the Head of Development and Infrastructure this pivotal role will ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the expectations of customers and enable the business to achieve its growth potential. You must be able to understand customer requirements, commercial demands, and business processes in their widest context, allowing you to recommend solutions to issues that others may not be aware of.

You will be Accountable for managing several product lifecycles, ensuring the activities of the product development team align with our business strategy and deliver the highest value possible. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders; you will identify, define, and document customer problems and needs, translating requirements into outcome-based stories to be refined by the software development team.  You will set assumptions and create measurements for the team and wider business to reflect on the success of the product increment.

Principal responsibilities and tasks:

  • Build and maintain the product visions, product backlogs and release backlogs, ensuring visibility is maximised to all stakeholders
  • Translate the strategic business goals into outcome-based stories, that can be refined and built by the product development scrum team
  • Responsible for deployment of the product development resources and preparing cost/benefit analysis
  • Working with the scrum teams and other stakeholders to determine and assess the feasibility and risk of requirements
  • Working with the scrum teams, develop experiments to prove assumptions and reduce risk
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders, establishing user groups and other feedback loops
  • Working with the scrum team, take part in all required scrum ceremonies and be on hand to ensure the existence of shared understanding for the problems the team are solving
  • Working with the scrum team’s, ensure that backlog items are refined JIT to enable the team to deliver value and reduce waste
  • Immerse yourself in the education technology sector, providing insight into market conditions and changes

Essential skills/qualifications:

  • Business domain knowledge in Education or Payment/Financial Services would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of some of the following concepts: Agile, Lean, Design Thinking
  • Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
  • Results orientated with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels across the business in person, by phone and on email, including proven experience interacting directly with end users
  • Experience of writing user stories
  • Experience of building product roadmaps
