Location: Remote/Travel Required
Company: Sky Zone Franchise Group

Position Overview:

Sky Zone is looking for a passionate and highly skilled New Park Opening Trainer to support the successful launch of new park locations across our system. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on training, facilitating classes, and providing on-the-job support to both corporate and franchise teams for each park opening. You will play a key role in ensuring new parks are fully operational, team members are properly trained, and the overall guest experience meets the company’s high standards.

As a New Park Opening Trainer, you will be traveling extensively (up to 90% of the time) to provide direct, on-site training at new locations, supporting both franchise and corporate teams in all aspects of park operations, from guest services to safety protocols and team member engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Facilitation: Lead training sessions for all levels of staff at new park openings, including front-line employees, supervisors, and park leadership. Training topics include but are not limited to safety procedures, guest service, operational standards, and team dynamics.
  • On-the-Job Training: Provide hands-on training and coaching in real-time, ensuring team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with park leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and support problem-solving during the first few weeks of opening. Offer guidance on best operational practices, guest engagement, and maintaining operational excellence.
  • Franchise and Corporate Support: Serve as a liaison between franchise and corporate teams, providing guidance on operational procedures, standards, and training protocols. Ensure alignment between corporate and franchise locations for consistency in training and operations.
  • Train-the-Trainer: Equip park managers and supervisors with the skills and knowledge needed to train their own teams post-opening. Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure sustainability of training programs.
  • Training Materials & Documentation: Support maintaining up-to-date training materials, including manuals, PowerPoint presentations, and online resources with the Training & Development Team. Ensure that all training materials reflect the latest operational procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to the Training & Development Team regarding training effectiveness and areas for improvement. Collaborate with the training team to update and refine training programs as necessary.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel up to 90% of the time to new park openings across the country, often with short notice. Travel will include overnight stays and extended periods away from home.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a management or training role within the entertainment or recreation industry (preferably in trampoline parks, amusement parks, or similar environments).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and coach individuals and teams.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences of various levels and backgrounds.
  • Travel Flexibility: Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time, with overnight stays and potentially extended travel periods.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Guest-Focused: Passion for delivering outstanding customer experience, with a focus on team performance and satisfaction.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and interact with staff and guests for extended periods during training and operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and conduct hands-on training activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds at times, with or without reasonable accommodation.
