Job description

We created Pacify for one reason: to provide low-cost, high-quality healthcare services to new and expecting parents, relieving their anxieties, and keeping them and their children healthier. Our virtual platform offers Pacify members unlimited, video-enabled, 24/7 access to maternal and pediatric health experts, and we continue to expand the reach of our virtual and in-person doula services as well.

As a small company, team members are given a lot of responsibility and autonomy to improve the products we deliver and to contribute to our vision. We are a tech-minded, highly motivated, successful, and fun team. You must have the desire to put in the time it takes to get the job done, be eager to learn new things, wear many hats, and be ready for a challenge.

Pacify values diversity and is constantly striving to build a provider network better reflecting the broad, diverse patient populations we serve. If you believe your background, race, gender, or ethnicity positions you to help us toward that goal, please let us know.

About the Position:

The Doula Program Manager role goes beyond managing a network; you’ll be nurturing a community of caregivers who are changing lives every day. You’ll be the voice of the doulas within our company, ensuring their needs are met and their wisdom is heard. Your work will directly impact the well-being of families across the nation, as you help scale our support model to reach those who need it most.

Job Responsibilities:

The Doula Program Manager helps to support the end-to-end operations and cultivate and sustain our doula program.

  • Support the recruitment process by coordinating and conducting interviews and managing the onboarding of new doulas to ensure we grow with integrity
  • Coordinate onboarding of all new doulas to the Pacify network
  • Ensure all Pacify networks are up to date on HIPAA, Medicare FWA training and exclusion lists and any additional training required
  • Conduct daily quality assurance reviews of all doula visits, maintaining our high standard of care as it relates to timeliness and accuracy
  • Document and follow-up with client reviews
  • Create engaging content for the monthly doula newsletter, keeping our network informed, inspired, and connected
  • Support the Clinical Department with Pacify’s Scholarship programs, empowering aspiring doulas to join our mission
  • Develop and manage our Doula Mentorship Program for those who are awarded the scholarship
  • Collaborate across teams to drive innovation in doula user experience and network growth
  • Present at community events and meetings and/or press-related interviews
  • Attend all team meetings
  • Travel to meetings may be required

Necessary Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrates unwavering commitment to advancing maternal health equity and shows strong empathy and communication skills
  • Is a certified birth and postpartum doula or full spectrum doula, with active certification(s) with 5-10 years of experience
  • Has supported at least 50-100 birthing persons
  • Possesses at least 5 years of operational and management experience, preferably in healthcare, community-based organization or startups
  • Is detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Embraces technology, with a strong knowledge of Excel (Google Sheets)
  • Is a self-starter who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player
  • Has the flexibility to occasionally travel for meetings and events
  • Possess strong writing skills and the ability to create compelling, informative content
  • Must be US citizen
  • Must have an iPhone 8 or higher
  • Spanish speaker preferred
