Learning and Talent Development Partner

This exciting, dynamic role will be integral to the Learning and Talent Development team. This all-encompassing role wears multiple hats and will be responsible for creating and implementing training programs that enhance Team Member skills and knowledge, increase productivity, and improve overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, a strong track record of designing and delivering effective training programs, and a proven ability to motivate and engage employees.

The Learning & Talent Development Manager will also have strong interpersonal, written, and facilitation skills to communicate and educate on various courses and workshops (facilitated, self-guided, and hybrid) for our Team Members at all levels throughout their Shake Shack journey!  

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Crafting Exciting Development Programs and Resources: Get ready to unleash your creativity as you design dynamic programs that resonate with our team’s goals and light up our Team Members’ experiences! You’ll be building leadership development programs, tools, and resources for our Restaurant and Home Office teams.
  • Bringing Development Programs to Life: Step into the spotlight by coordinating and facilitating inspiring leadership sessions and psychometric evaluations—both in-person and virtual—while orchestrating a smooth delivery of unique development programs that empower everyone to elevate their performance.
  • Boosting Program Success: Become our feedback guru! Dive into surveys and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of our programs and transform insights into actionable improvements that make a real difference. You’ll provide data-driven recommendations to influence continuous improvement.
  • Building Knowledge Libraries: Be the architect of knowledge! Develop and curate engaging learning resources like exciting manuals, guides, and training materials that support our team’s growth journey.
  • Mastering Training Logistics: Take charge of the behind-the-scenes magic by coordinating all logistics for our programs—from scheduling to supporting the virtual experience—ensuring everything runs like clockwork!
  • Embracing Innovation and Technology: Stay ahead of the curve by exploring the latest industry trends and innovative solutions in learning and development, bringing fresh ideas that energize our training initiatives.
  • Powerful Collaboration: Team up with Leaders and subject matter experts to create synergy, ensuring our programs align perfectly with organizational goals and cater to the evolving needs of our Team Members.

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles: Understanding how adults learn, different learning styles, and designing training programs that appeal to all types of learners.
  • Training design and delivery: Knowledge of instructional design principles and techniques, including creating training materials, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs.
  • Needs analysis: Ability to analyze the training needs of Team Members and develop training programs that meet those needs.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information effectively, provide feedback, and present training sessions/programs.
  • Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Change management: Ability to manage change effectively and promote the adoption of new processes and behaviors.
  • Knowledge of learning technologies: Understanding learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and other technologies that support training and development. AI experience is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree - Preferred

Education or Certificate Details

Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or Related Field

Work Experience

4-6 years

Related Experience

Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience with expertise focused on leadership development, professional services experience highly preferred

Preferred Technical skills

Adobe Suite, Articulate, WorkDay Learning

Physical Requirements

Precise hand/eye coordination

Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions

Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles

Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 10 lbs.

Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions

Pay Range - $78,265.00 - $126,060.00 *The salary paid to a successful applicant will depend on the applicant’s experience, qualifications, business needs and resources, and the candidate’s location.
