We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Application Support Analyst Lvl 2 to join our IT team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Manager, Application Support, you will be responsible for working alongside the IT Help Desk, IT Development teams and technology vendors to resolve incidents, identify problems and determine solutions.  In this role, you will analyze specifications and requirements, as well as work with senior team members to develop solutions, while also supporting enterprise and retail applications.

You will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and documenting production incidents, and identifying recurring problems for areas of improvement.

  • Collaborating with business users, development teams, and vendors to identify, diagnose and resolve application related incidents and problems.

  • Understanding business processes, business system capabilities, and business impacts of system outages.

  • Acting as Incident Manager for high severity issues, including providing timely communication to all impacted stakeholders, escalation, and driving the incident to resolution.

  • Preparing technical documentation, including but not limited to, user manuals, technical support guides, help desk documentation, and knowledgebase articles for incidents and problems. 

  • Participating in system test execution and supporting user acceptance testing.

  • Participating in post-implementation validation.

  • Providing mentorship and coaching to Level 1 support team members.

You have:

  • A post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in support services.

  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, design and implementation preferably using Oracle.

  • Understanding of basic IT infrastructure and networking.

  • Knowledge of Linux, PL/SQL, Control-M, Java EE application servers such as JBoss considered an asset.

  • Experience with troubleshooting Windows and Web-Based applications.

  • Experience with Java, C#, ASP.Net MVC, HTML5, JavaScript considered an asset.

  • Experience with troubleshooting Blue Yonder applications considered an asset.

  • Experience managing and mentoring support teams considered an asset.

  • ITIL Foundation certificate considered an asset.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Langley, B.C. While we’re currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.

Compensation Details:

$65,120.00 - $81,400.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
