Job description

Remote Operations Data Analyst, Health

$45k - $55k + Equity

About Nutrisense

Nutrisense is a health technology start-up on a mission to personalize nutrition, optimize metabolic health, and prevent chronic disease. We leverage continuous glucose monitoring (CGMs), our glucose and food-tracking mobile app, and virtual video support from registered dietitians and nutritionists so that everyone, not just diabetics, can learn about their unique responses to food, understand their health, and reach their goals.

We're hiring our first Operations Data Analyst to join our growing health team. As part of the nutrition department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dietitian workforce operations through data-driven insights and process optimization. You will report directly to the Senior Operations Manager and work closely together to analyze operational metrics, build and maintain dashboards, and identify opportunities for process improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in an early-stage startup while developing your analytical and operational skills.

You should be passionate about using data to drive business decisions and have a keen eye for process improvement. You'll need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders across the organization. If you are scrappy, analytical, and love to move fast, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do:

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Manage and improve existing health operations dashboards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of key metrics
  • Build new dashboards and reports as business needs arise
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making for the health team
  • Identify and investigate data quality issues, partnering with relevant teams to implement solutions

Process Optimization & Workflow Management

  • Support the optimization of existing workflows and processes through data analysis
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Customer Support, Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering teams on various initiatives
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization

We're looking for someone who:

  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, operations, or a related field
    • Experience at a startup or in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Strong technical skills/curiosity
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
    • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase is a plus
  • Analytical Capabilities
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
    • Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards
    • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Operations & Process Skills
    • Basic understanding of process improvement methodologies
    • Ability to document and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
    • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Total Compensation Package For This Role Includes:

  • Competitive Compensation Options - Choice of Base Salary + Equity
  • 100% Remote Environment - We encourage our employees to travel and experience life as they see fit
  • Excellent Health Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision
