The Arena Group is looking for a Product Manager with experience in ecommerce, affiliate marketing/management and digital media publishing. Improving our commerce/affiliate revenue and customer experience is a top priority for The Arena Group, making this an impactful opportunity for the right individual. In this role, you will lead the development of digital products that will increase clicks, sales, and revenue from our commerce / shopping content across all brands, while working cross-functionally with teams to improve user experience for both editors and readers. You’ll turn business goals into technical tasks, prioritizing work for development teams, while ensuring everything stays on track with our objectives of commerce revenue growth.
This role requires collaboration with editorial, operations, design, marketing, and technology teams, managing products from idea to launch and ongoing improvements. We’re looking for someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment who can help drive innovation and achieve the company’s financial goals.
The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $150 - $190k. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees.

What You’ll Do:
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across commerce, editorial, research, marketing, monetization, UX, and more to define and align on the product vision and outcomes for Commerce
Commerce Product Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the product vision, detailing features, timelines, and resource allocations
Requirement Gathering & Prioritization: Collect input from cross-functional teams and translate it into actionable product requirements. Prioritize key features within the roadmap to maximize impact
Sprint Management: Lead and manage engineering sprints, including creating and prioritizing stories, defining acceptance criteria, conducting functional reviews, and running ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
KPI Definition & Monitoring: Establish and track product success metrics that align with the company’s North Star. Collaborate across departments to make insightful data available, define needed dashboards and integrate reporting tools. Regularly communicate KPI status updates to stakeholders
User Experience, Optimization & Research: Partner with UX, experimentation and research teams to gather consumer insights, ensuring the product delivers exceptional user experiences. Proactively communicate findings and align teams on product goals, while crafting a/b tests to improve results
Vendor Management: Oversee commerce vendor performance, identify new vendors, and make trade-offs that optimize product and business outcomes
Content Management and UI Development: Update and enhance site content and features for editorial staff using a content management system (CMS)
What You’ll Bring:
Data-Driven: Proven ability to use analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to drive data-informed decisions, with a solid understanding of data structures, pipelines and algorithms and ability to run basic database queries
Successful Affiliate Portfolio: Experience defining, building and growing products that integrate affiliate management and commerce flows for media / publishing websites, working with major affiliate networks, tracking and measurement tools, and APIs
Exceptional Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, creative, and communication skills. Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and build consensus without direct authority
Technical Proficiency: Bachelor's in highly-quantitative fields (science, stats, math, economics, engineering) with solid understanding of software engineering practices and troubleshooting
Bonus Points if You Have:
Hands-on front-end and/or Back-end development experience
Experience implementing functionality with AI, ML-based decisioning, automation and optimization
Experience working for a media publisher in the early stages of Commerce content programs with demonstrable results
Direct experience with Amazon Associates, Trackonomics and related Affiliate Network APIs and tools
