Job Overview:

The PBM Testing Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Pharmacy Benefit Management Systems (PBMS) and Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES). This position requires a leader with extensive testing experience, capable of developing and executing robust testing strategies across the entire lifecycle of large-scale system implementations. The PBM Testing Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, defect management, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Master Testing Plan Development: Design and develop comprehensive Master Testing Strategies and Management Plans, outlining test approaches, processes, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables
  • Testing Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the testing lifecycle, including System (SYS), System Integration (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, and End-to-End Testing
  • Large-Scale System Testing Expertise: Lead testing efforts for large, complex systems with multiple integration points, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow across components
  • Performance and Security Testing: Conduct performance, stress, and penetration testing to validate system robustness and safeguard against security vulnerabilities
  • Manual and Automation Testing: Design, execute, and manage both manual and automated test cases, leveraging tools like Selenium and JMeter to enhance testing efficiency and defect identification
  • Data Conversion and Migration Testing: Validate data accuracy, transformation, and integrity during system migration processes to ensure successful transitions
  • Defect Management and Reporting: Implement and manage defect tracking processes, prioritize issues based on severity, and communicate detailed reports to stakeholders
  • Regression Testing and Change Impact Analysis: Develop and maintain regression test suites to ensure system stability and reliability after updates or fixes
  • Compliance and Accessibility Testing: Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and state-specific accessibility standards through rigorous testing methodologies
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Assess testing risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt plans to address evolving challenges and project needs
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align testing efforts with business goals and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years focused on PBMS
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter)
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance, stress, and security testing
  • Strong experience in data validation, conversion, and migration testing
  • Proven ability to develop Master Testing Strategies and lead teams through complex testing lifecycles
  • Familiarity with CMS guidelines and state-specific regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and align with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager or equivalent are a plus
