We are looking for an Analytical Technician for our Testing, Analytics & Physics (TAP) department in Waalwijk. TAP provides critical analytical and scientific expertise to support R&D, application technology, and sustainability goals, including circular economy initiatives and next-generation materials development.
In the TAP Waalwijk team, your role will focus on developing and applying chromatographic protocols (liquid chromatography and gas chromatography with various detection possibilities), supporting the characterization of resins, raw materials, and competitor products. You will also assist production facilities and business teams in resolving customer issues and improving polymer synthesis processes.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSABLITIES:
- Automated and manual sample preparation for chromatographic analysis.
- Perform in-depth chemical characterization of polymeric samples and small molecules in those polymeric materials.
- Analyze, interpret, and report analytical results to internal stakeholders as part of a highly motivated team of analytical experts.
- Ensure proper operation of chromatography equipment, optionally operating as equipment owner.
- Develop and validate new analytical methods under supervision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex scientific challenges.
- Act as a contact point for R&D and application development colleagues, primarily in Coatings and Adhesives.
- Prepare an efficient planning for the tasks associated with the role.
WHO ARE YOU?
- You have a BSc in analytical chemistry or a related field.
- You are able to work in a highly dynamic environment, in which flexibility is required.
- The ability to responsibly develop and apply modifications to analytical methodologies, when required.
- Internal communication is mainly performed in Dutch and English, business fluency in both is preferred.
- You are self-driven, open-minded, critical, determined to strive for performance and have a team-oriented style of working.
- Outstanding awareness and behavior on safety, health, environment and quality (QESH).
- Experience in development, processing and analysis of polymeric materials is a pre.

- Do you travel business kilometers with your own transportation? Then you will receive a mileage allowance of € 0.36 per kilometer, of which € 0.23 is untaxed. (with a maximum of 60km per day)
- A home work allowance of € 2.35 per day if you can work from home.
