Description:
Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT LAB/PATHOLOGY

You would support a busy Pathology office as office assistant and responsible for medical transcription of lab reports.

What you will do:

  • Customer service, fax and answer phone calls, as well as placing occasional orders and Kronos support.

  • Transcription of Pathology Lab reports

  • Support Pathology Team with additional office tasks as needed.

Work Hours/Shift:

Per Diem Mon- Fri, Day shift - working on site at the hospital.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in an Allied Health Field preferred.

  • One year of working experience in a medical office or hospital, preferred.

  • Three years of experience as a Medical Word Specialist/Transcriptionist in an acute-care setting, preferred.

  • Evidence of ability to transcribe all work types,

  • Demonstrated proficiency in a Windows computer environment, required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of dictation & transcription word-processing systems and equipment.
