Salesforce Inc. seeks Decision Scientist in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Generate insights (e.g., performance drivers, retention analysis, behavioral personas and much more) to accelerate business growth. Acquire and clean data from multiple sources, structure and build data models, analyze to generate insights, and distribute those insights to business leaders. Understand the business problem and internal users, focus on outcome not output, and iterate to achieve the business outcome through an experimental approach. Understand the “big picture” context of business and analyze data with business mentality. Translate business challenges into an analytical plan; think practically and creatively to craft quick, effective solutions to problems. Develop relationships and collaborate with teams to understand business problems and create and implement an analytical plan. Deliver insights to an executive audience. Partner with data engineers and product managers to instrument, acquire, develop, and structure data assets that are critical to measuring the success of products. Identify internal and external collaborators to curate data assets and produce actionable data insights and products. Support the expansion of Salesforce data culture by growing new relationships, hosting. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) A/B Testing; (2) Clustering; (3) Regularization; (4) Text Mining; (5) Hypothesis Testing; (6) MongoDB; (7) Classical & Penalized Regression Methods (LASSO, Ridge); (8) SAS; (9) Stata; (10) Hadoop; (11) SQL; (12) Python; and (13) Tableau. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. 

Salary: $151,800.00 - $227,700.00 per annum.
