Job description

Level Access is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical People Operations Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic HR team. This role will focus on managing payroll processes, analyzing HR data, and supporting various people operations initiatives to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Process semimonthly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure timely reporting of payroll-related data
  • Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Managed state and local tax accounts and ensure timely filing

Data Analysis

  • Analyze HR metrics and payroll data to identify trends and provide insights to management
  • Prepare regular reports on payroll, turnover, and other HR-related metrics

Compliance and Auditing

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll, benefits, and HR processes
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and payroll regulations

People Operations Support

  • HRIS administration and management
  • Collaborate with People team members to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Assist in the onboarding process, including payroll setup for new hires
  • Help support employee benefits administration and inquiries
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing for the United States and Canada
  • Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Culture Amp, Pave, and Confluence is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP) is a plus
