Job description

Contracts Manager

Fairwinds Technologies is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager who is willing to roll up their sleeves and join our team to support Federal and commercial contracts, subcontracts, procurement, and proposal planning. We are seeking a talented, dedicated, and motivated resource to help promote productivity and continued growth.
Location:  Remote/Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD

Compensation:  Base Salary

Supervisor: Chief Operating Officer

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • 5-8 years’ experience with cradle to grave contracts management/administration
  • Experience with proposal development, negotiation, contract administration, contract close out
  • Strong working knowledge of federal purchasing regulations and ability to document contracts/subcontracts accordingly
  • Deep understanding of Federal contracting and good command of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and Government contracts policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable (CPFF), and Time and Materials (T&M) type contracts and subcontracts
  • Familiarity with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPRS) requirements/compliance
  • Experience in reviewing contracts awards and modifications for accuracy and working with government contracting office to request updates. 
  • Ability to work with various teams and prioritize actions appropriately while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recognize when improvements need to be made and make suggestions for their incorporation
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, quickly solving issues as they arise
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cradle to grave contract and subcontract administration including procurement planning support
  • Initiate and manage workflows for contracts documents to include consulting agreements, NDA’s, Teaming agreements, Service agreements, bailment agreements, and others as required. 
  • Support business development, program management, and engineering by negotiating and administering non-disclosure, teaming or other binding agreements
  • Ensure compliance with solicitations, support and attend proposal reviews, and provide assessment of risks.
  • Maintain corporate compliance profiles on SAM.gov and others as required 
  • Complete Reps & Certs documents and other reporting requirements and maintain in contracts library
  • Negotiate contracts and subcontracts consistent with Federal Acquisitions (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) requirements and EXP policies and procedures, including source selection, cost/price analysis, and certifications
  • Process contract and subcontract close out in a timely manner to support company financial objectives in accordance with FAR and DFARS requirements
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with company senior leadership to continually improve processes and policies to promote compliance and efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts, providing solutions for any issues that arise
  • Stay current with changes to relevant regulations and laws to ensure compliance
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Must be a U.S citizen with the ability to possess a valid US DoD security clearance.
