Location: Points of Light is a remote-first organization. Any U.S. location in the Eastern or Central time zone in a market with a major airport. Washington, DC preferred.

Position Summary
The Coordinator, Corporate Activation provides administrative and program operations support for a large-scale corporate employee volunteer campaign that engages nearly 15,000 volunteers in 50 countries and territories each summer and sits on the Points of Light Corporate Activation team. In partnership with the Points of Light global affiliate network, we develop and manage meaningful volunteer experiences with community organizations and engage corporate employees to drive social impact and strengthen communities around the globe. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Activation, who oversees the client and affiliate relationships and overall program timeline and outcomes, as well as the many administrative and logistical details involved in an undertaking of this size. A typical day might involve tracking and saving data, coordinating meetings across multiple time zones, compiling meeting notes, monitoring deadlines, helping facilitate presentations, entering project or volunteer data, collecting reports and photos from affiliates, or communicating with partner organizations by email.
The successful candidate will be a quick learner with a passion for civic engagement and the nonprofit sector, capacity to successfully manage simultaneous tasks, and impeccable organizational skills. The Coordinator is an essential partner to the Senior Manager in the success of this program; this is a great opportunity to play a pivotal behind-the-scenes role in a large-scale global impact program and to gain experience in a fast-paced and collaborative nonprofit setting.
Position Functions and Responsibilities
- Data Management and Tracking
- Support management of data and information related to a large-scale global employee volunteer campaign, including using Excel to track, clean, import, export, sort, and organize project-related data as well as using an online volunteer tracking platform.
- Program Support
- Provide administrative support for the program. Specific tasks vary depending on the program phase but may include data entry, electronic filing and document organization, coordinating partner and affiliate meeting logistics and compiling meeting notes, tracking deadlines and sending reminders to partner organizations, formatting spreadsheets, providing support with compiling presentations and keeping track of any communications from partners.
- Volunteer Project Support
- Ensure success of volunteer events by managing intake of project documents and requests, tracking registration numbers and event dates, organizing post-event impact data, and supporting all aspects of program reporting which includes managing photos, data reconciliation and drafting the final impact report.
- On-site Program Support
- The Coordinator may also participate in limited travel to provide on-site logistical support (such as distributing volunteer t-shirts or staffing a check-in table) at the corporate partner’s office or partner locations before and during the program.
- Other duties in alignment with a coordinator role at Points of Light.

- Strong organization, data management, and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
- High degree of personal initiative and accountability.
- Track record of being solution-oriented and proactive when collaborating with colleagues and in interactions with external stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Works well independently and as part of a team with the ability to be productive in a remote environment.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit operations, office management or in an administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word) and Google Workspace (particularly Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides); familiarity with a CSR volunteer management system, a plus
- Some non-traditional hours for early morning and/or late evening calls are an expectation of this role given the global footprint of our corporate partners and affiliate network
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, and a commitment to promoting equity in all aspects of the workplace
