CrazyLabs, a world-leading mobile game developer with over 6 Billion downloads to date, is looking for a Game Economy Designer to join our team and work on our existing and future games. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Game Economy Designer to lead the development and optimization of in-game economies for our mobile games. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of game mechanics, player behavior, and advanced monetization strategies. You will collaborate closely with game designers, product managers, and data analysts to create balanced and engaging game economies that enhance player retention and maximize revenue.




Requirements

Role

  • Design, implement, and maintain in-game economies for hybrid casual games.
  • Design models of in-game economies, considering player progression, currency flow, and reward systems
  • Conduct advanced player data analysis and behavioral studies to fine-tune in-game economies and monetization strategies, and to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Increase revenue streams and monetization depth, providing a long-term vision
  • Support new features by ensuring that existing models are scalable and adaptable, and integrate new systems and models when needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of economic models, balance sheets, and monetization plans.
  • Lead and deliver designs for A/B testing and experiments of different game economy models, monitor and analyze test performance, and recommend solutions based on data-driven insights.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for game updates, events, and promotions based on economic performance and player feedback.
  • Drive close collaboration with Game Designers, Developers, Data Analysts and Product Owners to align economic strategies with game design goals and target KPIs
  • Regularly present findings and recommendations to owners, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform extensive market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor strategies, and best practices in hybrid-casual games

Profile

  • 3+ years as Game Economy Designer or Monetization Expert on casual or hybrid-casual games, or similar role in the mobile gaming industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully creating, optimizing and maintaining in-game economies for multiple titles.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, player psychology, and advanced monetization techniques.
  • Strong mathematical or economic background, fluency in economic modeling and Excel/Google Sheets/relevant toolset
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools and software to analyze complex player data and behavior.
  • Ability to create detailed and sophisticated documentation and balance sheets.
  • Clear communication skills in English, both written and verbal; Clear and concise.
  • Deep knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in mobile game monetization.
  • Experience with live operations and in-game events.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, time management and prioritization
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
