Job Summary:

This position is for a Financial Analyst, FP&A (P2) to support the Rates team. The selected candidate can expect to gain valuable business level experience and insight into how strategic management decisions impact the performance of the company. This position entails creation, review, and analysis of financial data relating to overhead expenses and rates, and their impact on sales and margin. Additionally, the Rates team regularly works with experts in the Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgets, and Accounting organizations.

This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. 

What You Will Do:

Job responsibilities will include working with manager on rate pool models in Rate Structure.  For those pools, responsibilities may include preparation of details for the following:

  • Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) updates

  • Monthly DCMA Reports

  • Analysis and submittal of monthly occupancy charge outs

  • Monthly expense forecasts & variance analysis

  • Preparation of relevant 1030 inputs for submission to Corporate

  • Supporting special projects, as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Business or a related field

  • Typically requires 2+ years of prior relevant financial experience

  • Experience with Rates, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and/or Cost or Government Accounting

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Good interpersonal skill, ability and desire to communicate, collaborate and coordinate with others

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office – Excel, PP and Word

  • Conceptual understanding of rate development and the burdening process

  • Working knowledge of SAP (APEX), and Analysis for Office (AO) and/or Control

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
