About the Role
We’re looking for a Sr. Scrum Master to join our SS&C Blue Prism Agility team. You’ll be reporting to the Head of Agility, working alongside other SSMs, supporting up to 5 Scrum Masters and up to 20 agile delivery teams, in a work environment centred on transparency, empathy, trust and encouragement. We are striving for organisational agility underpinned by an agile culture and mindset while making best use of value adding Agile frameworks and practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Your key skill will be in coaching the Stakeholders, Leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Teams in the agile mindset and the reasons behind the practices and processes of Scrum and, more broadly, organisational agility.
- You will be primarily encouraging your team of teams to self-organise with a focus on delivering value with every iteration.
- You will be the Scrum Master for one team, as well as the Line Manager and Lead for several Scrum Masters each with up to 5 teams of their own.
- You’ll be engaging with people, providing an open and free dialogue between team members and line managers.
- You will embrace feedback loops and encourage those around you to do the same. Someone who prides themselves on delivering hard truths whilst caring personally about improvements needed.
- Strong Scrum Master experience and in particular of the stances a keenness to embody the Manager stance and provide effective leadership from the front.
- Enabling the team to drive their own continuous improvement and where appropriate, shine a light on the blind spots teams may encounter in this regard.
- Guiding the team on facilitation of their own ceremonies, whilst providing valuable input and coaching on how to improve and get more value out of the ceremonies.
Your Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior Scrum Master/ Agile Coach to multiple (up to 10) teams in demanding project environments.
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring, training and developing Scrum Masters and Agile Team Facilitators in Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience working with demanding stakeholders and leadership.
- Scrum Master / Kanban/ Agile Coaching certifications – Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, ICAgile preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge / experience of Jira, Confluence and Agile Metrics
- Hybrid & waterfall experience.
- Scaling experience essential, LeSS preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience driving an agenda for organisational agility that promotes the agile culture and mindset holistically, transcending organisational boundaries.
