Job description

Software Developer

Overview
The Software Developer will be responsible for application maintenance, support, and enhancements, reporting to the AIRCOM Server Platform Level 3 Support and Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and fix application bugs.
  • Develop application improvements and troubleshooting tools.
  • Support the Level 2 team with customer issue troubleshooting.
  • Suggest and implement architecture enhancements.

Requirements

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, .NET/C#, and Azure DevOps (or equivalent tools like Jira/Bamboo/Stash).
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL knowledge, including queries, query plans, indexes, optimizers, transactions, and deadlocks.
  • Knowledge of .NET Windows Forms, web services, XML, and JSON data formats.
  • Experience with Windows performance tools, including Performance Monitor and Visual Studio Profiler.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, telecommunications, HTTP/HTML, and Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with unit testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Eager to learn and adapt.
  • Experience with 24/7 mission-critical software.
  • Knowledge of the Air Transport Industry.
