Role Summary: | Responsible for providing direct oversight and leadership for a team of analysts across Chicago, Boise, and Richmond Service Centers. This role will ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that support strategic business initiatives, optimize operational efficiencies and enhance customer experience. The Supervisor will play a critical role in supporting the Sr. Manager by conducting first-level performance reviews, mentoring team members, and driving the team's day-to-day operations. |
Additional Responsibilities: | Team Leadership & Performance Management Oversee daily activities of Data Analysts across multiple service centers (Chicago, Boise, Richmond). Conduct first-level performance evaluations, providing feedback and development plans. Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical skills, ensure accountability, and foster professional growth. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Oversight Ensure analysts meet deadlines for data reporting, analysis, and dashboard development. Monitor and enhance data integrity, accuracy, and reporting processes. Provide guidance on best practices for data visualization tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, and ONE Force. Support the team in identifying opportunities for data-driven improvements in cargo management processes.
Collaboration & Communication Act as a liaison between Data Analysts and the Sr. Manager, escalating issues as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BPIT, GCSM, and other stakeholders, to align on data-related projects. Translate business requirements into actionable data insights for teams.
Project Support Assist in the implementation of new data tools and initiatives. Support the Sr. Manager in executing strategic initiatives, including KPI benchmarking and process optimization. Lead smaller-scale projects and initiatives within the team, ensuring alignment with larger organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions. Promote the use of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle for ongoing process enhancements. Stay updated on emerging data technologies and best practices to enhance team capabilities.

Core Required Skills and Competencies: | Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, or equivalent. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Function-Specific Required Skills and Competencies: | Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Query, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or JavaScript is a plus. Knowledge of cargo management processes, customer segmentation, and operations optimization.

Required Minimum Years Experience: | 3+ years of experience in data analytics or related fields, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. |
Required Minimum Education: | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field required |
