Job Title
Research Scientist - Audio Video Standardization

Job Description

As a Research Scientist, you will take up the challenge of converting our ideas and patents in digital audio and video (A/V) signal processing into worldwide standards.

Your role:

  • Based on a good understanding of our existing A/V patent portfolio and current state of the standardization efforts, you will develop new ideas to enhance A/V technology for future standards.
  • Collaboration with our team of A/V experts to ensure that your ideas and implementations deliver the desired experience.
  • Development and Implementation of A/V processing algorithms within the framework of international standardization bodies
  • Active participation in standardization meetings.

You're the right fit if you have the following:

  • PhD, or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Software, Computer, Electrical, Electronics/Communications, Biomedical, etc.)
  • Experience in algorithm development (preferably in A/V domain)
  • Programming experience in C or C++ software
  • Good understanding of recent developments in the A/V domain
  • Hands-on experience in standardization (preferably in A/V domain)
  • Willingness to travel and actively engage in standardization meetings, such as MPEG and 3GPP
  • Strong collaboration skills / team player mentality
  • Strong conceptual and communication skills
