About the role

Managing a National commercial lines portfolio, our strategic projects aim to leverage Intact's leading scale and expertise. To make our exciting projects happen, and while continuing to deliver exceptional service to the industry's largest customer base in Canada, we are looking to add capable and dedicated individuals to our quality assurance automation team.
What you'll do here:
Perform a variety of tasks related to automating functional tests to evaluate software quality, operational workflows from a UI perspective. Degree of complexity may vary between and within projects. Testing and analysis will cover many platforms in our software ecosystem to verify their logic and check that our business rules are being properly implemented.
Work closely with the System Test and Projects teams to develop business-driven, end to end and functional test cases.
Execute, and analyze regression test results and report issues to the development team.
Collaborate with business QA teams to facilitate their transition to using a Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) framework.
Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Continuously improve test processes, strategies, and tools.
Implement best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product management) to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 8 years proven experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with Playwright for UI testing.
Experience in supporting QA teams in transitioning to BDD frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise in executing regression test suites and analyzing results.
Experience with SAFe Agile Methodology.
Insurance experience an asset.
Experience with Atlassian (Jira & Confluence) suite.
Strong communication skills, aptitude for making complex situations understandable to others.
Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail.
Ability to set and manage competing priorities.
Flexible to work outside of normal business hours including weekends occasionally.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Technical skills required:
Playwright.
Typescript/JavaScript, XML, JSON/Java/Python.
BDD/Cucumber/Gherkin.
Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid.
