Job description

The Internal Manufacturing Operations Quality (IMOQ) Program Management Lead provides day-to-day operational support to the IMOQ team to maximize operational effectiveness through proactive planning, defined objectives, effective prioritization and timely execution of initiatives.

The role holder plays a pivotal role in facilitating efficient and effective IMOQ governance and processes to enable achievement of IMOQ strategic and operational goals in alignment with Pfizer’s Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) program.

Drives strategic IMOQ projects.  Interfaces with the PGS, DBOs team and OpU CI leads to ensure horizontal alignment and operational efficiency; and drives communications plans for the team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads IMEx implementation for the IMOQ – enabling the T4 team(s) through establishing the process to define priorities, maintain visual management and meeting cadence, facilitate escalation and drive continuous improvement.

  • Establishes and maintains processes to maximize team effectiveness through proactive planning, timely briefings / communications and ongoing review to ensure effectiveness.

  • Establishes and maintains processes to assess and ensure expected value is derived from business processes and CI projects; driving responsive action where needed

  • Drives review of IMOQ data / metrics/ indicators to enable proactive detection of issues and compliance signals and trends.  Provides strategic project and  performance metrics updates to T5 / T6 as required.  Drives response / remediation plans based on the signals and trends. 

  • Coordinates key business processes, including the Operational Risk Review program, to maintain currency of the risk matrix, advancement of risk reduction mitigation plans and escalation to governance where support is required

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end planning of LT meetings, agendas, coordinate pre-read and presentation materials

  • Manages review of semester objectives and accomplishments

  • Supports VP with posts on Yammer and other communication vehicles

  • Establishes and drives communications plan, serving as a key interface between IMOQ global business process owners and QSEO community  

  • Collaborates with other PGS business operations colleagues to ensure alignment, operational efficiency, and adoption of good practices.

  • Responsible for working on strategic projects, as assigned, building capabilities / increasing maturity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Risk Mgt or related field

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant industry e.g., pharma, biotech, chemical, with a sustained track record in improving performance

  • Has a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities to drive business outcomes with stakeholders

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle competing priorities and ability to perform under pressure, bias for action

  • Possess a collaborative spirit, strong project, and program management skills, including change leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Has driven IMEx implementation at the PGS OpU level

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and a proven track record in change management

  • Ability to navigate across PGS organizations and operate in a multicultural environment

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Due to the nature of work assignments, the role holder must be able to perform detailed work with limited oversight on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraints; while advancing long term priorities.

  • Learning agility - ability to understand, evaluate, interpret and explain multiple complex inputs and provide clear direction. 

  • Overall physical fitness to conduct a range of functions including sitting / standing / computer for extended periods of time. Travel 10-15 % of time.

  • Daily interactions with colleagues through face to face or virtual meetings enabled using technology such as TEAMs  requiring ability to effectively exchange ideas and information with colleagues using these systems.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work outside standard working hours (early mornings / evenings) as needed to engage and interact with stakeholders across a geographically diverse network

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
