About the Role
The Return-to-Work Specialist manages the interventions required to ensure high risk cases achieve the best possible recovery and return to work outcomes.
Working closely with case managers, the RTW Specialist will apply their advanced injury and return to work management skills, together with exceptional stakeholder management skills, to achieve optimal outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The ability to gather information from a range of stakeholders to develop effective case management strategies
- Experience in preparing and attending claims reviews and clinical case conferences to effectively facilitate outcomes
- Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills

Required Expertise
- At least two years' claims management experience in the Victorian workers’ compensation scheme, ideally in return to work case management
- Knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injuries
- Strong working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ACCtion and Novus
