WHAT YOU’LL DO


As the Electrical Engineering Team Lead, you will work as part of the Endotronix Manufacturing Engineering team, to define, develop, test, implement, automate, and continuously improve electrical-related components, products, and software systems.  You will provide oversight and leadership to support engineering-related projects aimed at improving quality, throughput, cost, and new products released to manufacturing.  You will also provide effective and compliant documentation of all aspects of the role to meet internal and external quality/Regulatory requirements.   Collaboration with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to support efforts as directed will be a regular part of your day as we have a cross-team environment for many projects.  You will address and document, in a timely manner, assigned NCR’s, CAPA’s, Test Protocols, Test Reports, and other related documents.   You will also quickly become a key SME for the Manufacturing team for topics related to products with electrical/electronic functions.  You will manage others when assigned to your projects and as we grow, ensuring goals and objectives are met.  This is a full-time, onsite position based in Naperville, Illinois.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead electrical engineering and software development projects with key team members
  • Develop a keen knowledge of the Endotronix products, systems, and processes
  • Define and develop fully-automated or semi-automated systems/processes to improve reliability, accuracy, and throughput
  • Define and address key bottleneck/quality related manufacturing processes and develop/document/implement projects to eliminate bottleneck or quality related issues
  • Provide leadership and direction to others, if and when, assigned
  • Provide timely and effective documentation of projects and processes per Endotronix QMS 
  • Assess project risks and provide solutions where applicable
  • Provide training to engineering and manufacturing team members and other departments where applicable
  • Take ownership of processes and become the SME related to electrical/electronic products manufactured 
  • Work in a strong collaborative effort with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to address issues as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 4+ years in a manufacturing environment involving process improvements, preferably within a regulated industry 
  • Demonstrated competency/experience in automation/process improvement projects
  • Demonstrated competency/experience in verification and validation activities, both hardware and software
  • Competency in reading/developing electrical schematics/drawings
  • Competency in electrical engineering software and/or hardware
  • Capability to comprehend entire operation sequences and provide detailed analysis/set up/test outcomes for purposes of addressing and improving processes
  • Demonstrated/thorough competency of Quality systems and processes
  • Advanced LabVIEW skills and experience
  • Passion for solving engineering challenges in a hands-on way while leading others when needed
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Altium desired. MATLAB helpful.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills suitable for writing documents and teaching staff
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-team members

 

EDUCATION

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalency
