As part of its separation from Carrier, the Commercial and Residential Fire business is building its Accounting & Controllership department. This presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume a critical role within the organization. This individual will have the opportunity to delve into all manners of Finance/Accounting impacting a multi-national company and creating true value for the company.

This role represents the opportunity to help build and shape the future of our Accounting & Controllership department. This person will work with all members of the department and help solve issues to create true value for the company.

About This Role:

As a Senior Analyst, Consolidations and Corporate Reporting, you will be integral to consolidating financial statements and supplemental reporting for Fire & Security (F&S) Headquarters. Your role will involve ensuring that all financial reviews and reports meet U.S. GAAP standards and company policies. You will assist the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Corporate Reporting by providing key support to ensure financial reporting aligns with company requirements, contributing significantly to the controllership objectives and the mission & vision of the Company’s Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Collect, review, and consolidate financial reports monthly and quarterly, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and the Company’s corporate policies. Reconciling all eliminating accounts to ensure appropriate elimination in consolidation.

  • Communication: Develop and implement communication plans to align with Business Unit Controllers regarding financial reporting needs.

  • Process Improvement: Enhance the financial statement review process, offer training on key deliverables, and collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives.

  • Analytical Support: Support the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Corporate Reporting with processes and supplying fundamental accounting and finance concepts.

  • Financial Consolidation: Manage the consolidation of financial results for the F&S business, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Perform the close and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Technical Expertise: Offer expert guidance on complex consolidation issues and ensure adherence to the Company’s policies.

  • Financial Statement Management: Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial statements across business units.

  • Leadership Collaboration: Review results with the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Corporate Reporting, providing analysis of consolidated financial statement impacts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business

  • 2+ years of experience in financial consolidation and reporting with proficiency in U.S. GAAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred

  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of influencing and collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Competencies: Experience managing complex financial processes and delivering strategic analysis.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) tool, with advanced Excel skills.
