The Impact You Will Have
As a Senior Excel VBA Developer, you’ll be responsible for being technically strong and disciplined in Excel Macros/Visual Basic Applications with a proven ability to deliver quality solutions. You’ll be developing robust and maintainable applications to automate API data pulls, real estate underwriting tasks, and report generation across multiple Excel models.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Excel Macros/VBA Code to efficiently automate real estate financial analysis tasks and generate reports
Optimize scripts to pull data from the Enodo automated underwriting platform using VBA
Perform unit testing and end-to-end (e2e) testing to ensure the quality and reliability of tools and scripts
Ensure smooth delivery and support of new tools delivered
Maintain technical documentation and ensure that knowledge is shared with other members of the team
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
8+ years of VBA Development experience (report automation, custom application development, bug/error fixing, migration)
8+ years of experience in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, modeling)
Experience and work samples from engagements with real estate or finance companies
Formal education in Computer Science (e.g., Community College classes on CS101 topics, Code School, or equivalent)
Knowledge/exposure to other coding languages (Python, C#, Java)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Driven self-starter able to work on a small team and take initiative on new tasks with minimal supervision
Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent product management software and agile development best practices
Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
The base salary will be between $125,000 - $155,000 plus a discretionary bonus component.
