Senior Machine Learning Engineer - GENAI

NIQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ML Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior ML Engineer at NIQ, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing advanced AI/GenAI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable AI/GenAI solutions. 

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Generative AI to join our innovative team in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge generative AI solutions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models, with a focus on generative AI and large language models
• Lead research initiatives to explore new techniques in generative AI and contribute to the field's advancement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing products and services
• Optimize machine learning algorithms for improved performance and scalability
• Conduct thorough experimentation and analysis to validate model effectiveness and accuracy
• Stay current with the latest developments in generative AI and machine learning, applying new techniques to ongoing projects
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the AI team
• Participate in technical discussions and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with at least 3 years focused on generative AI
• Strong programming skills in Python, with proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Extensive experience in developing and deploying large language models and other generative AI systems
• Deep understanding of natural language processing techniques and their applications
• Proven track record of implementing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and models
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present complex ideas to diverse audiences
• Publication record in top-tier machine learning conferences or journals is a plus
