Role Overview:

 

Reporting to the Marketing Performance Analytics and Insights lead at New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (NYL GBS), this role is responsible for building and managing a shared services marketing operations technology support function. With an increasing need for and reliance on marketing operations technology such as customer relationship management, workflow and campaign management and related technology infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced marketing operations technology individual to build and manage an efficient and scalable model.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Engage with internal and external partners to understand marketing/creative services operations and technology support needs
  • Work with technology and procurement partners on opportunities, challenges, upgrades, and changes - anticipating, assessing and supporting impacts of those
  • Deliver support to partners on key technology platforms inclusive of workflow management, decision support, campaign management, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms
  • Manage marketing operations projects with partners and bring in a perspective on technology opportunities and solutions. Connecting the dots between user needs and solutions is critical - as is the ability to drive and implement plans
  • Manage and execute a campaign workflow management digital roadmap to bring new capabilities and features that will promote revenue growth aligned with business goals
  • Implement a model designed to be scalable to serve other partners within GBS, driving efficient processes and leveraging platform best practices and full potential
  • Train and assist users as appropriate in defining and implementing functional requirements of technology solutions
  • Bring governance to marketing operations technology needs, working with leaders to prioritize work and resources, and report on deliverables
  • Manage implementation of local or user-controlled system configuration and changes as needed
  • Proactively identify new opportunities relevant to the marketing team and help team understand opportunity and implications
  • Facilitate onboarding of marketing workflow and campaign management technology with teams across Marketing and other NYL GBS business units and collaborate on implementation and training
  • Create scale and optimize effectiveness through regular application of Test & Learn, research, ideation and performance analytics
  • Apply critical thinking to problem solving and leverage performance analytics to identify themes, assess and enhance deliverables in alignment with goals and objectives
  • Develop a deep understanding of the NYL GBS client (employer), producer and customer (employee) needs, values and relationships
  • Understand competitive environment, including emerging solutions, and work to differentiate NYL GBS services and solutions, as well as identifying opportunities for innovation.

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of applicable experience in more than one of the following: email/campaign management, marketing automation, workflow automation, project management, implementation, or strategic planning

 

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience driving systems requirements, recommending solutions, and implementing
    • Experience leading/implementing/administering a Workflow Management system and Campaign Management platform
    • Experience managing technology infrastructure projects/eco-systems
  • Group Insurance (Life, Accident, Disability and Voluntary) related experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to deliver an exceptional consumer/customer experience
  • Proficiency in leading procurement and implementation of proven decision support tools based on revenue generation and customer experience ratings
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication (both oral and written), time management, organizational, and planning and negotiation skills
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic, team-based setting with rapidly changing conditions, demonstrating strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Thrives in deadline-driven environments, adept at managing multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities to deliver impactful and efficient results.

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $120,000-$150,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
