Job description

Your Impact

The Senior Accountant performs day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, expense allocation, and reporting to maintain timely and accurate financial records.
What You'll Do
  • Journal Entries and Accounting Adjustments: Prepares and posts journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting adjustments. 
  • Account Reconciliations and Discrepancy Resolution: Reconciles accounts such as accounts payable, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses. Researches and resolves discrepancies. 
  • Financial Reporting and Expense Allocation: Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation. Ensures expenses are coded to the proper accounts and departments. 
  • Process Improvement and Audit Support: Identifies and implements changes to increase efficiency of accounting procedures and workflows. Compiles requested documents and reports to support internal and external audits. 
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensures activities adhere to company policies and GAAP standards. Stays up-to-date on accounting regulations.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting experience 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Netsuite, etc.)
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards and financial accounting principles 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities 
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines 
  • Collaborative team player with integrity
