The Senior Control system Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, development, and testing of the overall Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) or a specific subsystem that may include but not limited to the Distributed Control System (DCS), Safety Instrumented System (SIS),  subsystem Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). The Control and Automation Engineer will work with project instrument, electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to identify all process control, safety requirements and system interfaces.The Senior Control System Engineer participates in the hardware and software configuration, programming, testing and commissioning of PLC/SCADA/DCS including third party interfacing systems.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Control  System engineering activities from Basic & Detailed  engineering design till completion of project

  • Understand customer specifications, scope of work and supply

  • Review, implement, troubleshoot and iterate on the control sequence of operation (SOO) and provide necessary feedback to the design team. Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces. Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements and navigate challenging situations.

  • Application software Programming  ((PLC,SCADA,HMI & DCS ,Siemens- TIA/SIMATIC/WINCC / PCS7, control system  engineering configuration, development, implementation & debugging

  • Correspond with clients to provide technical clarification support.

  • Conduct Software Factory Acceptance Tests, 3rd party subsystem interface tests and Site Acceptance Tests

  • Involve  in Maintenance ( Preventive & Ad-hoc)  activities which includes troubleshooting control system hardware and software and implementing corrective actions independently

  • Provide  Pre Sales Technical Support

  • Provides technical direction and assigns work to subordinate engineers, designers, drafters, technicians and others who assist in performing specific assignments.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Instrumentation/Control System)

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the field of process automation and control in oil & gas / petrochemical industries

  • Highly required prior experience in DCS application software configuration using Siemens PLC/SCADA/HMI/ DCS -Simatic/Wincc/PCS7  system   is mandatory and  Experience, Knowledge in other control System ( Yokogawa ,Honeywell,Omron,Schneider,Ignition) is added advantage

  • Able to multitask to meet the project delivery requirements.

  • Willing to travel overseas at plant site during Site Acceptance Test and commissioning

  • Capacity to adjust its communication to different interlocutors and situations. 

  • Leadership qualities, and networking, ability to convince his/her interlocutors. 

  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Planning, flexible, prioritization and organizational skills
