CREATIVE OPERATIONS
We're a creative team, building copy, data and visual assets for all our channels. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.

LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.

THE ROLE
As the Language Specialist for Dutch, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and cultural relevance of FARFETCH’s brand across multiple platforms. Your main focus will be on localising brand & marketing copy, UX copy, and B2B content, while also managing an external network of language vendors for Dutch. You will act as the language quality guardian for the website, building and maintaining style guides, language guidelines, and training materials to ensure a consistent voice and tone in all content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Localise and adapt brand & marketing copy, UX content, and B2B materials to ensure they resonate with local audiences while maintaining FARFETCH’s distinct tone of voice;
  • Ensure a seamless customer journey by translating and adapting UX copy, making it intuitive and culturally relevant for users;
  • Manage an external network of translation vendors, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that all outsourced copy assets meet FARFETCH’s quality standards and deadlines;
  • Be the language quality guardian for the farfetch.com Dutch website, responsible for building and maintaining language style guides, tone of voice guidelines, and terminology databases;
  • Develop and deliver language training materials and guidelines to internal teams and external vendors, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand voice across all channels;
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product, and UX design to ensure that all localised copy aligns with business objectives and resonates with the target audience;
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and audits of website content, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with language guidelines;
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects, contributing insights on localisation strategies and supporting the global content teams in delivering high-quality localised copy;
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve language quality, identifying and addressing areas for optimisation in both internal and vendor-delivered content.

  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Language Expert: Native-level fluency in Dutch, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Brand & Marketing Experience: Proven experience in localising brand, marketing, and B2B copy, with a strong understanding of how to engage and connect with audiences through compelling and culturally relevant content;
  • UX Localisation Expertise: A solid background in UX localisation, understanding how to adapt content to create an intuitive and seamless user experience for local markets is desired;
  • Vendor Management: Demonstrated experience managing external translation vendors, providing clear guidance, feedback, and quality assurance to maintain high standards;
  • Language Quality Champion: Experience building and maintaining language guidelines, style guides, and terminology databases, with a commitment to upholding language quality across the website;
  • Training & Development: Skilled in creating training materials and delivering language guidelines to internal teams and external partners to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards;
  • Collaborative & Detail-Oriented: Strong team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. You thrive on collaboration, with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality content;
  • Process-Oriented & Proactive: Ability to identify and implement process improvements, with a proactive approach to optimising workflows and driving language quality.
