Our office in Vancouver, WA is hiring for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion while ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication and administrative skills. Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 plus annual bonus
This role requires 2-3 days in office every week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains project documentation, including project charters, timelines, requirements, and testing artifacts. Adapts documentation to suit Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, or product delivery-based methodologies.
- Manages up to 10 projects of small to moderate complexity with budgets up to $1M, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Tracks and adjusts project milestones, accounts for unforeseen delays, and realigns schedules and expectations as necessary to maintain project alignment.
- Coordinates with multiple stakeholders across business units, IT, and vendors, ensuring project objectives are met and all parties are aligned.
- Provides quality reviews and guidance for assigned projects, ensuring that quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle. Leads efforts to maintain system acceptance test environments.
- Ensures collaboration and integration between teams running concurrent projects, leveraging best practices, metrics, and lessons learned to improve project quality and throughput.
- Develops and implements communication plans, identifying stakeholders, communication channels, and key messages. Regularly reports project status and ensures stakeholders are kept informed.
- Tracks and reports key metrics, including project progress, budget variance, resource allocation, and performance against defined KPIs.
- Manages project risks by participating in risk planning, mitigation efforts, and ensuring ongoing risk analysis. May assist in the development of comprehensive risk management plans.
- Oversees vendor management, monitoring vendor performance to ensure contract commitments are met and aligning vendor deliverables with project objectives.
- Leads team development efforts, providing input for performance appraisals, direct feedback to team members, and managing team-building activities. Provides project management mentoring and professional development guidance for junior staff.
- Facilitates change management efforts, including managing organizational changes, scope changes, and team transitions as needed, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Builds and maintains stakeholder relationships and manages client expectations to ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, including managing projects with budgets up to $1M
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- PMP® certification from the Project Management Institute is required.
- Agile certification is required
- Strong technical proficiency, with experience in project management software tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or other industry-standard tools.
- Experience in wealth management or finance industry is required. Information technology experience is preferred.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and product-based delivery.
- Leadership and mentorship experience, with the ability to build, train, and mentor teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex project updates to diverse audiences, including executives and vendors.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure environments.
- Change management experience in managing organizational and project transitions.
