About the Role:
Are you an experienced infrastructure engineer who thrives on keeping mission-critical systems running smoothly? Do you have a passion for working with physical hardware and automating operational tasks? Do you have experience with storage and virtualization technologies?
What You'll Do:
As a member of the TechOps CICD Infrastructure team, you'll be helping to deploy and operate the infrastructure that powers the CrowdStrike software factory. You'll be working with a variety of hardware architectures including x86_64, arm64, aarch64, and s390x as well as operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS. And you'll be part of the team responsible for developing and implementing emerging hardware technology patterns to support our developers in building the next generation of our products.
What You'll Need:
Expertise with remotely operating traditional infrastructure in on-premises physical data center environments
Expertise with bare metal provisioning
Expertise operating large scale distributed storage infrastructure
Expertise tuning and troubleshooting storage protocols such as NFS and CIFS
Expertise with automating common tasks using tools tools such as Ansible, Powershell, AWX (Ansible Tower), and Jenkins
Expertise with operating system lifecycle management
Expertise with various consumer and enterprise operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android) operating at scale
Experience with Infrastructure as a Service platforms including VMware and OpenStack
Ensuring the proper monitoring, maintenance, and resilience of critical R&D environments
Ability to determine root-cause for incidents, correlate recurring incidents to systemic problems, and drive towards resolution
Understanding of CICD patterns and processes
Experience utilizing source-code repositories utilizing git (Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.)
Ability to understand scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (common uses: Python, Go)
Ability to document processes/procedures
Ability to perform code-review for quality and adherence to company style guides
Bonus Points:
Expertise with Windows Operating Systems, including related components such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SMB/CIFS, Windows Imaging WDS/MDT and WSUS
Previous experience working with MDM solutions
Previous experience with Canonical MAAS or Openstack Ironic
Previous experience with TrueNAS
Previous experience with Dell PowerFlex
Key Qualifications:
7+ years of experience working in a large-scale production environment
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Potential travel required for team meetings and conferences
Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team
Must be able to effectively work with a distributed team across multiple time zones
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions
Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment
Security-mindset, general understanding of cybersecurity principles

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $180,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
