Solutions Consultant–Legal Software
The Solution Consultant is a critical part of the Sales team and is instrumental in helping drive sales by identifying needs, proposing solutions & being an integral part of the opportunity-driven sales efforts. Legal Tracker and HighQ are SaaS, hosted solutions that provide workflow, collaborative and financial tools associated with the operations of a Corporate Legal Department. CoCounsel assists legal professionals by providing advanced AI-driven support for legal research, drafting, and document analysis.
Assist sales teams to maximize closed sales & performance (greater than or equal to 100% of product plan) by gathering requirements for & articulating process around data conversions, integrations, security, implementations, Professional Services, and Sales Support/RFP’s
Acts as a liaison with other departments & Thomson Reuters companies including Product Management, Client Relations, IT Operations, Product Development, and Marketing
In this opportunity as a Solutions Consultant, you will:
Participate in discovery calls with the support of a sales executive to understand prospect challenges and identify specific issues that can be addressed by Thomson Reuters Solutions (Legal Tracker, HighQ and CoCounsel). Helping to understand the prospects vision and aligning to the core capabilities of these products to support that vision.
You're a fit for the role of Solution Consultant if you:
- Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; JD is preferred
- 5+ years technical sales experience within software solutions
- Have the ability to understand and communicate complex technology visions and value propositions
- Ability to demonstrate to prospects and interact on a daily and weekly basis with prospects and sales executives. Ideally, proven pre-sales experience targeting and demonstrating software solutions to large, multi-national organizations
- Able to connect with decision makers and be comfortable presenting to mid-level and C level executives in Corporate Legal Operations function
- Have a general understanding Legal Operations; Experience with Matter Management, E-billing, Contract Management and/or Generative AI solutions a plus
- Able to travel up to 10%; Able to be available across multiple time zones when necessary

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $111,700 - $207,400. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $101,500 - $188,500. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
