General Description:
The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the digital scientific communication content strategy across multiple channels to enhance BeiGene’s engagement with the global medical oncology/hematology community. This is a remote-based leadership role.

Essential Functions of the job:
Under the leadership of the Executive Director, GMA LD&C, collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement a comprehensive digital omnichannel content strategy to support Medical Affairs and BeiGene objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Global, Regional, and Country Medical Affairs, Commercial, Corporate Communications, and Commercial Operations Business Analytics (COBA) to create an integrated omnichannel strategy
• Evaluate and prioritize use of digital tools and platforms to deliver impactful scientific content that engages healthcare professionals and other audiences through the most effective channels
• Create 3rd party engagement plans to further communicate BeiGene data
• Ensure consistent messaging aligned with Medical Affairs and Beigene strategies across all digital channels and content.
• Create, curate, and manage high-quality and innovative digital content tailored to audiences across channels, including congress booths and websites
• Develop and manage the digital content project plan and ensure on-time delivery of digital assets; effectively communicate project timelines and project status to stakeholders
• Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to execute digital initiatives and manage relationships with key partners.
• Ensure all digital content adheres to regulatory standards, company guidelines and congress policies. Manage all technical aspects of Medical Review Committee (MRC) reviews and approvals for new or updated content, including annotations, referencing, and comment adjudication, in collaboration with clinical subject matter experts and MRC members and administrators
• Facilitate training and support for internal teams on digital tools and best practices.
• Represent the Global Medical Affairs team in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the broader digital strategy of the company.
• Contribute to annual team planning cycles and support the development of GMA LD&C projects and initiatives
• Adhere to BeiGene SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards
• Apply legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to all Medical Affairs activities

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Computer Skills:
• Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator strongly preferred
• Experience in Veeva strongly preferred
• Familiarity with SharePoint and project management software preferred


Other Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading complex digital initiatives in Medical Affairs with global scope and impact in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or agency/vendor setting
• Scientific/clinical background in hematology and/or oncology, preferred
• Creation of digital omnichannel scientific content experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and customer focus are necessary with demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of science and healthcare, including the ability to learn new concepts and new therapeutic areas quickly
• Demonstrated ability in project management, prioritization, and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research practices preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and to effectively coach, mentor, and communicate with scientific/clinical persons at all skill and knowledge levels
• Knowledge of applicable international compliance guidelines and regulations for scientific communications applicable to pharmaceutical companies
• Experience in vendor management
• Confident, positive attitude, enthusiastic and charismatic.

Location: Remote

Travel: Work related travel approximately 15- 25%
 

Education Required:
• MS degree or higher (PhD or Pharm.D) with 5+ years’ experience in medical affairs digital strategy experience required

Salary Range: $184,000.00 - $244,000.00 annually

Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
