Job description

Overview:

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Benefits Coordinator to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and update renewal activity in company database
  • Asset statement collection
    • For pooled and FBO accounts – save to proper folder
    • For recordkeeper accounts – pull files from website
  • Upload client contributions to recordkeepers
  • Follow up with clients for census submission
  • Follow up and submission of Form 8955-SSA and Form 5500
  • Follow up and submission of cash out distributions for participants with less than $5,000
  • Submission of vesting uploads to recordkeepers

Qualifications:

  • Formal education in the form of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel, and must be comfortable and able to take incoming and make outgoing phone calls to clients and vendors.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability
  • A background in group benefits, human resources or customer service are a plus!
