The Environmental Associate will support the Environmental team in all aspects of environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. The position requires problem-solving skills, organization, adaptability, collaboration, and an interest in environmental compliance and permitting.

What You’ll Do

Support the Environmental Compliance team in developing scopes, timelines, and budgets for environmental assessments, permitting, and other regulatory compliance documentation.
Assist in the oversight of external consultants.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and reports for the Environmental team.
Research various environmental regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal review and executions of environmental scopes.
Reviewing, submitting, and tracking invoices and payment obligations for environmental scopes.
Set up data rooms, obtain signatures for project documents, and ensure proper storage of executed documents.

Must-Haves

2 or more years’ experience in environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale renewables are preferred.
Strategic thinker, problem-solving skills, and strong analytical skills.
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for individual work, team goals, and overall project success.
Eagerness to learn and proactive approach to seeking clarification. The ideal candidate asks questions to ensure understanding and foster continuous improvement.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field preferred.

Working Environment and Physical Demand

Up to 25% travel for company events, project-related meetings, and conferences.
