The Environmental Associate will support the Environmental team in all aspects of environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. The position requires problem-solving skills, organization, adaptability, collaboration, and an interest in environmental compliance and permitting. 

What You’ll Do 
  • Support the Environmental Compliance team in developing scopes, timelines, and budgets for environmental assessments, permitting, and other regulatory compliance documentation.  
  • Assist in the oversight of external consultants.  
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and reports for the Environmental team. 
  • Research various environmental regulatory requirements. 
  • Assist with internal review and executions of environmental scopes. 
  • Reviewing, submitting, and tracking invoices and payment obligations for environmental scopes. 
  • Set up data rooms, obtain signatures for project documents, and ensure proper storage of executed documents. 
Must-Haves 
  • 2 or more years’ experience in environmental due diligence and compliance for utility-scale renewables are preferred. 
  • Strategic thinker, problem-solving skills, and strong analytical skills.  
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for individual work, team goals, and overall project success.
  • Eagerness to learn and proactive approach to seeking clarification. The ideal candidate asks questions to ensure understanding and foster continuous improvement. 
Education and Certifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field preferred.  

Working Environment and Physical Demand 
  • Up to 25% travel for company events, project-related meetings, and conferences.
