Sr. Bid Manager

We are searching for a skilled bid manager to join our bid team. In this role, you will develop the strategy for proposals and RFP responses for our solutions and services team, define bid-winning strategies, conduct research, write and edit proposals, negotiate with stakeholders, and collaborate with other team members to ensure bid security, accuracy and integrity.
As a bid manager will be able to write effective proposals while adhering to budgetary and time constraints. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a sound understanding of the industry, and be able to communicate and negotiate with a range of stakeholders. You will be expected to ensure the smooth running of the bid for a project within the correct time and financial parameters, and manage the relationship with client personnel. You will work in conjunction with solutions architects and business leaders in the services and solutions team to create and manage the bid for a project.
You will work closely with Artech PBS Services Sales to understand the business requirements of the customer, as well as with Services Delivery staff, Solutions Architects, and customer employees to create and manage the bid for a project This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of the Bidding Team.
Responsibilities
The Bid Manager works with Practice, Delivery and Sales Management to successfully scope and deliver industry-specific business proposals. Key processes managed by the Bid Manager will include:

• Identifying opportunities for bid submissions and raising them with the bid management team.
• Conducting research and brainstorming key points to include in the bid.
• Crafting persuasive and detailed proposals.
• Performing risk assessments and addressing concerns of clients and company staff.
• Ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Keeping track of all costs and managing budgets.
• Working closely with project managers, design managers, estimators, and senior personnel.
• Conducting team briefings once bids have been secured.
• Analysis of win/no-win bids to determine issues and define corrective action

Experience and Skill Requirements

• B.S. or B.A. required, MS or MBA preferred
• Degree in management, technology or English preferrable
• 8+ years of professional experience
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role (product marketing, product management)
• Functional experience in information technology
• Experience as a bid writer is advantageous
• Excellent industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with trends
• Superb written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Deadline-driven and committed to excellence
• Experience working on virtual teams
• Ability to interact with senior and executive management
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• International experience a plus
