Job description

LabCorp is seeking a Case Coordinator I to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.  This role works in a high volume, production based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science. This position performs a variety of activities in support of pathology services.
This position will perform administrative/clerical and laboratory assistance on behalf of the pathology staff. This position will require direct communication with clients and laboratory staff.

Schedule: 1st, Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, required overtime as needed.
 

** This is NOT a remote role**

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assign and distribute cases
  • Monitor and manage work queues
  • Coordinate consults and Send-outs
  • Process internal test add-ons and liaise with the labs
  • Research, trouble-shoot and follow up on client inquiries and problems

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred
  • Comfortability with handling biological specimens 
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens 
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
